Educational equivalency review: WES or ECE transcript evaluation + verification of post-graduate advanced clinical training + verification of post-graduate clinical practice (with equivalent license) within the past 3 years.
Maine Board of Dental Practice (May 2026): "Maine has two pathways for licensure, Standard and Endorsement... The Board is able to consider education and/or clinical experience obtained in another jurisdiction... Our experience with foreign licensed or foreign trained dentists seeking licensure in Maine is that granting of licensure usually depends upon whether or not the individual is currently licensed (full dentist license) in another state... It may prove more difficult if you have not recently practiced dentistry." Board does NOT pre-qualify.
