Full License via Residency

What training qualifies: Per Miss. Code Ann. § 73-9-23(3), a graduate of a non-ADA-accredited foreign dental school may be licensed by examination (full general dentistry) with: 6 full academic years of postsecondary study + graduation from a recognized foreign dental school; prior license/admission to practice in that country; AND at least 2 full-time years of postdoctoral education in a CODA-accredited program (AEGD/GPR/specialty) completed after the dental degree.
Exams: National Board Examinations Parts I & II (INBDE). No regional clinical exam specified.

Board notes: MS Board Foreign Trained FAQ (§ 73-9-23(3), retrieved 2026-08-04): the postdoctoral education MUST be (1) two or more years, (2) full-time, (3) after the dental degree, (4) in a CODA-accredited program — AND the program dean must certify the applicant achieved the same didactic/clinical competence as a graduate of that school's predoctoral program. "6 years postsecondary" means a genuine 6 full academic years; a compressed 4-year-equivalent degree does not qualify, and postdoctoral study cannot count toward the 6 years. Board will not pre-assess without an application.
